TEHRAN – Azarab Industrial Co. has designed and built 64 pressurized reservoir tanks for installation at the South Pars Oil and Gas Development phases 6, 7 and 8.

The tanks each weighing 1,300 tons were built based on a 3.345-million dollar contract and were completed in a period of 14 months, an official at the company said here on Wednesday.

The reservoir tanks are between 4 to 16.5 meters high and can withstand pressures as high as 103 bars. They have proved to properly function at the temperatures between 46-85 degrees Celsius.

In manufacturing some parts used in the pressurized tanks, the company has utilized technologies solely exclusive to itself thereby saving some 3.3 million dollars in the costs, he explained adding, in producing the reservoir tanks, related international standards have been observed.
